Wild asparagus is one of the most cherished spring delicacies in Istria. Its slightly bitter taste, packed with minerals and vitamins, inspires numerous culinary masterpieces. From Friday, March 28, to Sunday, April 13, selected restaurants across Slovenian Istria will offer special menus featuring this seasonal treasure.
21 Restaurants – One Love for Local Flavors
This year, the culinary event expands beyond Izola to the entire Slovenian Istria, meaning you can enjoy creative wild asparagus dishes in 21 selected restaurants and taverns. From traditional recipes like asparagus fritaja (scrambled eggs) to gourmet modern interpretations, there's something for every taste.
